For the second year in a row, WTS Global has been distinguished as "European Indirect Tax Firm of the Year" by International Tax Review (ITR) at this year's European Tax Awards Ceremony held on May 17 in London. The award acknowledges, once again, the excellent work of the well-integrated Indirect tax practice headed by Jürgen Scholz, partner of WTS in Germany. The WTS Global Indirect Tax practice includes experienced tax advisors from more than 100 countries. Its high ranking could be credited to its new thinking and innovative approach as well as its practice orientated solutions. The practice was also praised for its successful set up of an Indirect Tax practice in the Middle East in connection with the introduction of VAT in GCC countries.
A number of WTS Global member firms also brought home highly prestigious trophies. WTS Germany was awarded “Germany Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year", ICON was recognized as "Austria Tax Firm of the Year", WTS Consulting was also awarded "Ukraine Tax Firm of the Year". Other member firms of the global tax practice were nominated. These firms include: T/A Economics (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), WTS Klient (Hungary), Althaus Group (Russia). That notwithstanding, and in addition to awards won, at the ITR Asian Tax Awards Ceremony two weeks ago, Dhruva Advisors (India) and BDB Law (Philippines), both members of WTS Global, each won prizes on a national and regional level.
The numerous accolades confirm WTS Global in its aspiration to become the leading global tax practice offering the full range of tax services without the constraints of a global audit firm.
The member firms of WTS Global are carefully selected through stringent quality reviews. They are strong local players in their home market who are united by the ambition of building a truly global practice that develops the tax leaders of the future and anticipates the new digital tax world.
