Munich, 10/03/2017 – Consultancy firm WTS is strengthening its franchise winning Dr. Franz Angermann who comes as a new Managing Partner. He joins the organisation from leading Swiss Wealth Manager UBS and will be heading the Private Clients & Family Office segment.
Prior to his start at WTS, Angermann had been working for UBS for six years. At UBS, he was initially responsible for covering Ultra-High-Networth clients, family offices and foundations in Germany. In the following, he was responsible for investments in direct participations, private equity and investment bank solutions for the same client segment in Germany, Austria and Benelux. Other positions during his career included Private Wealth Management for Goldman Sachs, and a Tax Partner position for a consultancy firm in Munich, advising private clients and family offices.
“His combination of professional experience and expertise in asset management and investment banking, as well as in tax matters and law, make Franz Angermann an invaluable addition to WTS. With Dr. Angermann joining as a Managing Partner, we will further expand our Private Clients & Family Office segment,” says Fritz Esterer, WTS Chief Executive Officer.
At WTS, Dr. Angermann will assume management of a prominently positioned business segment, taking his place among other partners including Dr. Tom Offerhaus and Michael Althof, as well as Partner of Counsel Prof. Dr Swen Bäuml and Peter Schulz in Tax and Legal Consulting.
In particular, Dr. Angermann will grow the Family Office business and the existing services further by introducing a consolidated asset controlling offering and investment strategy support for this client group. WTS offers an ideal environment for this approach.
“WTS has particularly strong expertise in automating tax processes through the use of tax tools, especially within the arais of Financial Services and Asset Management. Combining this knowledge with its innovative business partnering model, which fully or partially represents entire tax functions, produces synergy effects of which we can make excellent use in asset controlling,” explains Dr. Angermann. “I truly look forward to these new, exciting assignments at WTS.”
