Punit Shah is a senior Partner in Dhruva Advisors LLP based in the Mumbai office, India. Punit is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with over 30 years’ experience in tax and regulatory matters. Punit has assisted several foreign investors in structuring their entry strategy in India including obtaining Government and Central bank approvals. He has helped several Domestic institutions in structuring the outbound investment from India in a Tax & Regulatory efficient  manner. In particular, he has assisted several Domestic & Global Private Equity & Real Estate Funds in setting up their operations in India and has helped several Domestic & Multinational Organizations, particularly in financial service space, in implementing complex M & A transactions

He has represented several Domestic & Multinational Clients before the tax authorities during tax audit and other proceedings and helped clients in devising tax litigation strategies and implementing those strategies including representation before the appellant authorities and tax tribunal

Punit is also extensively involved in tax policy issues and represents clients and industry bodies in making representations and holding discussions with the Government
