WTS Global introduces high profile Transfer Pricing Leadership Team with global coverage

Press Release from September, 2022

WTS Global introduces high profile Transfer Pricing Leadership Team with global coverage

Continuing on an ambitious internationalization and integration process

The WTS Global Transfer Pricing Leadership Team has grown to include 14 high-profile experts from around the world, representing the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and APAC (Asia-Pacific) regions. Changes in the Global Service Line (GSL) structure signal an increased focus on regional investment and initiatives, deeper integrated cooperation within the network, and a shared goal of building on the growth and success of the Transfer Pricing GSL over the past decade.

“We are pleased to announce that we have expanded our transfer pricing leadership team to include seven regional leaders, in addition to global subject matter experts who will lead global ‘Mindset Hubs’ dedicated to specialty areas of transfer pricing. We look forward to leveraging the expanded team’s collective experience to help guide and execute our global strategy, and to adapt it to the regional and local needs of our clients, wherever they have business operations.”

Jared Walls, WTS Global USA

Transfer Pricing GSL Co-Head

Member of the WTS Global Board of Directors

Melanie Appuhn-Schneider has joined Jared Walls as a Co-Head of the Transfer Pricing GSL, with a core team including three Regional Leaders: Cristian E. Rosso Alba, responsible for the Americas region, Molvin Yiu, representing Asia-Pacific and the TP Center of Excellence in the Philippines, and Valentin Lescroart, leading the EMEA region together with four Sub-Regional Leaders: Chris Liu in Western Europe, Tamás Gyányi in Eastern Europe, Kapil Bhatnagar in the Middle East, and Mohammad Akshar Maherally in Africa.

"I am excited to assume the role of Transfer Pricing GSL Co-Head. The growing regulatory complexity, accompanied by an increasingly globalized and digitalized economy has led to changes in global supply chains and an increasing demand for tax certainty and dispute resolution, putting transfer pricing at the forefront of the agenda of our clients, tax authorities and us. By engaging in close cross-border collaboration with WTS Global member firms, we are ready to meet the upcoming challenges with innovative and pragmatic advice."

Melanie Appuhn-Schneider, WTS Global Germany

Transfer Pricing GSL Co-Head

Co-Leader of the Mindset Hub on Treasury and Financial Services

To address emerging issues and other specialty areas of transfer pricing, WTS Global has also organized dedicated thought leadership groups - known as Mindset Hubs - in the areas of Tax Controversy (led by Taco Wiertsema in the Netherlands), Treasury and Financial Services (co-led by Melanie Appuhn-Schneider in Germany and Andy Neuteleers in Belgium), Digital Solutions (led by Andreas Riedl in Germany), and Data Analytics (led by Michel Braun in Germany). In addition, Frank Schwarte will serve as the WTS Global TP Markets Leader, drawing from a cross-regional team of experts.

The WTS Global Transfer Pricing Practice will convene for its annual GSL meeting in Amsterdam on September 27th, bringing the new leadership team together with members from around the world in a dynamic forum for strategic planning and knowledge sharing.

Committed to contributing to the public dialogue on transfer pricing, our team will remain in Amsterdam and take part in ‘’The 22nd annual Global Transfer Pricing Forum in Europe’’ co-hosted by International Tax Review and WTS Global on September 28th and 29th. Our experts will join more than 250 tax leaders around the Globe and lead panel discussions, presenting on the current developments in TP and sharing insights on how to anticipate and prepare for future business, tax, and regulatory challenges.

The WTS Global Transfer Pricing Practice comprises more than 300 experts backed by dedicated local teams and has built a strong reputation in the global market. WTS Global applies a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to develop tailored TP service offerings for multinational clients across a range of industries, covering the entire transfer pricing lifecycle, from strategic planning, IP valuation, and other value chain transformation, to documentation, audit defence, litigation support, and alternative dispute resolution, supported and facilitated by state-of-art digital tools.
