After studying at the Ruhr University Bochum and Trinity College Dublin, Michel began his career in 2007 at a renowned auditing firm, first in London, then in Düsseldorf, in the Global Transfer Pricing Service, today also specializing in issues relating to artificial intelligence in the tax and financial environment.
In his more than 17 years as a tax consultant and M.I.Tax, Michel and his team have provided comprehensive advice on transfer pricing issues. He has driven the digitalization of transfer pricing in Germany and globally, among other things by developing an AI for transfer pricing that is currently in the US patent process.
At WTS, Michel's consulting focus is on the digitalization of transfer pricing processes and the development of AI-based solutions for the tax sector.
His commitment to the use of artificial intelligence in tax consulting has made him the ideal candidate for the position of Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO), as artificial intelligence plays a central role in the tax landscape today.
In addition, Michel Braun heads the joint venture WTS PSP AI, which was launched in December 2023 and aims to make generative AI technologies accessible to the tax sector. The plAIground was jointly developed to provide clients with innovative solutions and a sovereign, data-secure platform.
To relax, Michel spends time with his family and does triathlon (irregularly).
