WTS Advisory continues its growth strategy and gains Michèle Färber as Partner and new Head of Financial Services. She will also be responsible for expanding the Corporate Treasury business. She will be supported in her new role by the Corporate Treasury expert and newcomer Michael Sack.
Michèle Färber brings over 18 years experience in international consulting companies. From 2016 she led the accounting advisory for insurance companies within the Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services division at PwC. Prior to this she worked at EY for 12 years, with positions in Financial Accounting Advisory Services, the General Policy Department and the Auditing of Banks and Industrial Companies.
With her expertise, Michèle Färber has recently successfully supported companies from the insurance sector in the transformation of their finance functions in an advisory or auditing capacity, as well as in the reorganisation and optimisation of their reporting and accounting processes. Prior to this, she advised industrial clients on corporate treasury issues for many years. The Auditor and CFA Charterholder's professional expertise is on accounting for financial instruments and insurance contracts (HGB, IFRS9/17) as well as on the introduction of financial and non-financial reporting processes.
"WTS Group has a rapidly growing and well experienced team for advising banks and insurance companies. With Michèle Färber we have gained an excellent accounting expert with whom we can seize this positive momentum and significantly develop the Financial Services division," comments Dieter Becker, Board Spokesman of WTS Advisory. "She will also be responsible for expanding growth of the Corporate Treasury division. The combination of her experience in accounting and risk and liquidity management will greatly benefit us and our clients."
"In recent months, WTS Advisory has not only undergone a metamorphosis in terms of branding, but has also further optimised its advisory structures across the CFO agenda. Digital transformation, financial and sustainability reporting, economic and environmental resilience are currently of the highest priority, not just for the financial sector. WTS has established a forward-looking foundation to prepare finance functions for the future. I am really looking forward to taking up this positive dynamic for our Financial Services and Corporate Treasury clients and successfully developing it further," says Michèle Färber.
New Corporate Treasury model launched
With Michael Sack, WTS Advisory welcomes another top-class and multiple award-winning expert in Corporate Treasury to its ranks. He brings over 25 years of industry experience as Treasurer for multinational corporations in Germany and abroad. Most recently, he was responsible for Corporate Treasury at the GN Group. Other stages of his career were spent at Siemens, Sivantos and Commerzbank. Together with Michèle Färber, he will establish a customised service package for the CFO field. In addition to project-related consulting, such as for carve-outs, IPOs or the transformation to a sustainable treasury according to ESG criteria, this also includes a business partnering model.
"As the CFO's business partner, we take over all or part of the treasury function in the form of a full-scope service. As a result, the client gains maximum flexibility in the use of resources and can always rely on extensive expertise" explains Dieter Becker. "Michael Sack is very familiar with the organisational structures of a corporate group and is an absolute expert in his field. He is predestined for this future model."
WTS Advisory continues its growth strategy
Following a successful rebrand in early 2022, WTS Advisory has set a new record in terms of revenue growth. "The previous financial year 2020/2021 was again extremely successful for the WTS Group. WTS Advisory has played a significant role in this. In the past two years alone, our Financial & Deal Advisory Services has grown by 40 percent. This is an excellent development," says Fritz Esterer, CEO of the WTS Group.
Fritz Esterer adds: "The financial sector and treasury function are facing enormous regulatory and economic challenges. There is great potential for growth in both areas. We are therefore all the more pleased to welcome Michèle Färber and Michael Sack on board, two highly qualified and experienced experts who will support our clients with passion and the highest standards of quality."
