Diversity and variety: the key to success

Diversity is not just a buzzword for us—it is what drives us.

At WTS, people from a wide variety of backgrounds, with different stories and perspectives, work together – and that is precisely what makes us strong. We believe that recognizing differences creates common ground. Embracing diversity opens up new opportunities.

Discrimination has absolutely no place here. Origin, gender, age, religion, physical limitations, or sexual orientation are irrelevant – what counts is talent, commitment, and attitude. These principles apply not only internally, but also in our collaboration with our partners – and we clearly state this in our Code of Conduct and guidelines.

Our teams speak over 25 languages – and we don't just mean linguistically. We also mean the many ways of thinking, ideas, and perspectives that come together. For us, diversity is already part of everyday life.

We're in!
Charta der Vielfalt e. V. is Germany's largest employer initiative for promoting diversity in the workplace. And because attitude must also be visible, our CEO Fritz Esterer signed the Diversity Charter in December 2021. It is a statement that we bring to life every day.

NETWORK OF WOMEN
It’s time for NOW!

Gender diversity is a topic that is particularly close to our hearts. That is why we launched the NOW@WTS (Network of Women) network in 2020—a space for networking, strengthening, and raising awareness. Because we don't just want to talk about bringing women into leadership roles, we want to actively contribute to making it happen.

More visibility. More equality. More success.

Women are still significantly underrepresented in leadership positions. This is no secret—but it is also not a situation we are willing to accept. Companies that embrace diversity make better decisions, are more innovative, and are more successful. That is why we launched NOW—our “Network of Women.” A platform where women can network, empower each other, and grow. And a clear signal both internally and externally: we are serious about equality.

We believe in mixed teams, in different perspectives – and in the fact that diversity is not just a nice-to-have, but a real competitive advantage. Studies prove this, but we also experience it first-hand in our daily work. NOW is not a project. It is a new beginning. And the right time? Now.

What exactly do we do?

We create space – for exchange, visibility, and development. NOW means:

NOW Café
The NOW Café is a regular event for all WTS employees. A central part of the program is guest lectures by experts who share their experiences and perspectives on topics such as equality, visibility of women, inclusion, and corporate culture.
NOW Connect
Our NOWconnect is a networking event where participants can get to know each other and network at our locations. It usually takes place after a NOW Café and provides an opportunity for exchange and discussion about the previous presentation.
NOW Seminars
The first seminar, the “Growth Mindset Workshop,” kicked off in November 2021. Since then, we have been working with People & Leadership Development to offer regular training sessions on topics such as self-reflection, personal strengths, and skills that support NOW's goals.
NOW Mentoring
Selected participants will be mentored by mentors at partner level for one year. The program includes regular meetings, supplementary offers, and events to expand the network.

By 2030, we want to achieve a balanced ratio of women and men in leadership positions. Not because it would be “nice”—but because we know it makes us better.
