WTS supports Adcuram in carve-out from the MEA Group

WTS, a global full-service provider of tax advisory services and financial & deal advisory, has advised the industrial holding company Adcuram on the tax aspects of a carve-out. Under the strategic guidance of Adcuram, the MEA Group completed the sale of its Metal Applications division to the Meiser Group.

The MEA Group, an industrial and commercial specialist for light wells, drainage channels & gratings based in Aichach, was bundled into the three business units Metal Applications, Water Management and Building Systems. According to the MEA Group, the sale of the Metal Applications unit will enable it to focus even more strongly on the growing demand for intelligent drainage solutions (including protection against heavy rainfall) and on lighting and ventilation systems for basements.

The WTS Tax team led by Axel Wagner and Dr. Klaus Dumser provided Adcuram with tax advice during the sales process, in particular on the tax structuring of the transaction. A tax fact book was also prepared. Colleagues from the international WTS Global network in France, Romania and the Czech Republic were consulted for the international aspects of the carve-out.
