Interim management services

Interim management services are a special case of the support we provide as part of business partnering. As interim managers, we are temporarily active in a line position and assume responsibility for results and, if necessary, personnel. The mandate usually ends as soon as the problem has been solved and a stable new company or division management has been established or after a completed transaction, integration or restructuring. Interim management services can be provided at all management levels.

 

Advantages of using interim management capacities

The use of interim capacities is associated with a number of advantages:

  • Fast and efficient staffing with experienced managers from WTS Advisory
  • Rapid implementation of measures and best-practice solutions
  • Integration of an external perspective with expertise to solve internal requirements
  • Capacity increase for a limited period of time; capacity increase without increasing the headcount, no hiring subject to approval in accordance with the cooperation agreement
  • Sustainable increase in effectiveness beyond the interim manager's period of effectiveness through process improvements and further qualified employees

 

Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) services

Crisis managers or Chief Restructuring Officers (CRO) support the company in implementing a restructuring plan and achieving the turnaround. Their main tasks include creating transparency, ongoing communication with the parties involved in the restructuring and the implementation of restructuring measures. Crisis managers/CROs are often given comprehensive authority to issue instructions or board responsibility.

The interim manager can be deployed at various stages of a restructuring. They can be deployed during the concept development phase, the implementation of immediate measures to secure liquidity, negotiations with stakeholders and the implementation phase. Support is often provided across all project phases. This has the advantage that responsibilities are defined at an early stage and information from the concept phase can be used directly in the further course of the project.

As part of our CRO services, we also offer to act as liquidator in the event of the planned liquidation of a company.

 

M&A project management and integration

If temporary project management needs to be established within the organization on the occasion of company acquisitions or sales, the use of an interim manager is also an option. They can contribute specific process know-how and make a decisive contribution to relieving the burden on specialist departments / M&A departments and to the success of the project, particularly in the case of time-critical projects.

Corporate transactions often lead to companies, parts of companies or departments being merged. Integration managers support the parties involved by designing preparatory measures and taking responsibility for implementing the integration plan. We support the integration process on the basis of comprehensive methodological knowledge in project management and technical expertise in areas critical to success.
