Christiane Noatsch joins WTS from Deloitte, where she held various management positions in the Global Employer Services division from 2008. In her most recent position as Head of Employment Tax Consulting, she led a team of 12 colleagues. Before this, she spent eight years at Ernst & Young and the former auditing company Arthur Andersen in the Global Mobility Tax division. Her career began at the Berlin tax administration.
Christiane Noatsch specialises in wage tax advisory for multinational corporations and international mid-size companies. She focuses not only on cross-border issues but also on automation projects, the digitisation of wage tax processes – e.g., for non-monetary gifts or events – as well as the implementation of wage tax control systems (tax ICS) and risk analyses.
"With Christiane Noatsch, we are not only strengthening our local presence in the North/East region, but also meeting the steadily increasing demand of our clients for wage tax-related procedural and digitisation advice. Together with WTS partner Susanne Weber, who has an outstanding reputation for wage tax advice within the Group, we now provide one of the quantitatively and qualitatively strongest wage tax divisions on the market. We have therefore created an excellent foundation to further accelerate our growth with the required expertise and greater resources", explains Dr. Philipp Besson, Head of HR Taxes at WTS.
The WTS HR Taxes Service Line currently consists of 120 colleagues, led by a team of 4 Partners and 8 Directors. It offers one of the broadest full-service packages in the field of personal taxation. It includes advice with respect to wage tax, in the global mobility field, in the handling of national and international payroll processes as well as for associated legal advisory issues. The team therefore offers a combination of tax, employment and social security law expertise and follows a procedural- and digitisation-driven advisory approach.
The growth of the Service Line has gained momentum once again in the last two years. In the spring of 2022, our expertise in social security law was expanded by a team from KPMG. In the autumn of 2021, WTS HR Taxes was also successfully expanded with the addition of a four-person US Tax Team for the specialist areas of Global Expatriate Services (GES), high net worth individuals and financial services.
